Drônira brought drone entertainment into Katerina Lioliou’s live tour in Thessaloniki, creating a first-of-its-kind moment for the city and a new milestone for a Greek artist’s own concert tour.
On September 2 in Thessaloniki, Drônira joined Katerina Lioliou on stage for a landmark production that introduced drone technology as part of the artist’s live concert experience. The custom drone show was designed specifically around Katerina Lioliou’s artistic identity and discography. Bespoke formations inspired by the artist, her music and signature visual world appeared above the stage, transforming the drones from a standalone spectacle into an extension of the concert itself. The production marked two important firsts. It was the first concert in Thessaloniki to incorporate a drone show of this kind, while Katerina Lioliou became the first Greek artist to integrate a custom drone show into a concert of her own tour. For Drônira, the project represented another step forward in integrating drone technology with contemporary live entertainment. Rather than simply appearing above the venue, the drones became part of the artist’s storytelling, creating a powerful connection between music, stage and sky.
